got this from the fine folks at the TZL:|
Our friend Ryan at Methinks Presents, which runs the gallery Project 165 in Kensington Market, has organized a traveling art show that will tour between Toronto and Halifax in August. The show has a zine component, and Ryan is looking for zines to be included in the tour!
If you have multiple copies of a zine you would like to see distributed across Eastern Canada, please get in touch with Ryan. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Any zines left at the end of the tour will be shared between the Toronto Zine Library and Project 165.

ABOUT 'WE MADE A DEAL WITH A DEVIL':
We Made a Deal with the Devil is a traveling art show that will tour in a van from Toronto to Halifax, with 14 stops in between - at campsites, public parks, inns, bars, lofts and other sites - for the month of August.
Inspired by La Chasse-galerie (or, "The Flying Canoe") - a cautionary French Canadian folktale about a group of 19th-century loggers who make a deal with the devil - this super-fun show will combine drawings, zines, performance art, live sound and other creative projects, by national and international artists of all stripes, for a multimedia exploration of folklore, collective memory, mythmaking, adventure and risk.
We Made a Deal with the Devil is part of Collective Action Expedition 09, a DIY (do it yourself) community outreach initiative that will allow a crew of six Methinks Presents collaborators, in partnership with others, to document, engage and learn from people, projects and creative communities involved in independent cultural production across Central and Eastern Canada; expose new creative work to disparate Canadian audiences; and explore new cultural exchange opportunities.
On return to Toronto in September, after a little rest, we will mount a multimedia exhibition, documentary screening and discussion to share our experience, learnings, thoughts and discoveries of the road while opening a productive dialogue around independent/artist-run culture, collectivity and community development. We will also maintain a tour blog as we travel.
